COVID-19 GUIDELINES

How I will be keeping us safe

Group classes and private lessons are now running with some restrictions. For private lessons we will discuss our shared approach to safety before your session. For our public classes, the venues and I have both put measures in place in the interests of everyone's safety after lockdown.

What I will do:

Venues will be cleaned regularly but as there are different people hiring the space I will be cleaning the space fully before and after each class. 

I will be keeping windows and doors open to encourage good ventilation.

I will no longer be providing mats, blocks, blankets or any other props. Please bring a mat and anything else you like to use for support or comfort.

I will guide you where to place your mats to ensure there is enough distance between students.

I have carried out a risk assessment for classes which will be regularly reviewed in line with any changes to government guidance on making shared spaces COVID Secure.

Consent tokens for hands on assists will be provided. If you want to maintain space around you please place your mat at the back of the class where I will not be moving around.

I will I will not teach if I have symptoms of Covid-19 (cough, fever, loss of sense of smell/taste, shortness of breath and fatigue) or flu-like symptoms, suspect I may have Covid-19 or I have been in close contact with another person with Covid-19. I will not teach if anyone in my household is self isolating or waiting for a Cobid-19 test result.

I will regularly take a rapid lateral flow test.

What you need to do:

Please do not come to class if you are not well, have any Covid symptoms or any cold and flu symptoms. In addition, if you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 or is symptomatic, or if someone in your household has it, please follow NHS guidelines and do not attend class.

Book and pay in advance for all classes, including private lessons please. I will no longer be accepting cash payments.

Hand sanitiser will be available at the entrance. Please wash or sanitise your hands when you enter, and adhere to social distancing guidelines please. At The Fold there is a hand washing station near the garden door.

Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before class and leave within 15 minutes of a class ending. 

On entering venue, please make your way to your spot and roll your mat out. Avoid moving around the room unnecessarily. To support this please arrive ready to practice and limit the number of personal belongings you bring in with you.

Bring your own mat, water bottle and any other props you need. It will be good to wear layers as windows and/or doors will be open.

The WHO guidance clearly states that face coverings should not be worn during exercise but you are welcome to wear a face covering on arrival and when leaving if you wish. This is not compulsory.

Most importantly,

by booking a class you agree you will not attend class if any of the following apply to you:

  • You are experiencing any of the main COVID-19 symptoms or flu-like symptoms

  • You have entered the UK from another country in the last 14 days

  • You have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days

  • You live with someone who is self isolating or waiting for COVID-19 test results
