HEALTH AND SAFETY
Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional before starting or changing any exercise program or making a lifestyle change. This is particularly important if you are overweight, pregnant, nursing, regularly taking medications, or have any existing medical conditions. The content of classes, this site and melissaporteryoga.com is not intended to provide medical advice or make medical diagnoses.
Yoga is physically challenging and carries with it risks that I cannot entirely eliminate. To minimise this risk please follow the rules.
- You must act safely and sensibly at all times. Only you can monitor your condition during your workout and you are fully responsible for your own safety and wellbeing.
- You must not participate if you are pregnant or under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs.
- You must follow cues, warnings or instructions displayed or given to you. If you are at all unclear do not undertake the posture.
- Do not attempt to undertake any posture that is outside of your normal practice, comfort zone or range of motion.
- Stop immediately if you experience any pain.
Participation in any live or recorded online class is entirely at your risk. Melissa Porter Yoga cannot be held responsible for any injury or harm you may sustain whilst undertaking an online or in person class.
By taking part in any online or in person class you are accepting that you have read, understood and agreed to follow these basic instructions.
PAYMENT AND CLASS CREDITS
Single class credits and passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and have strict expiry dates. Please ensure the pass is right for you before purchasing. Payment must be received in advance of your session. Cash payments will not be accepted.
Private sessions can be rescheduled with 24 hours notice with no charge. My private session availability is limited therefore rescheduling a private session with less than 24 hours notice will incur a 50% charge of the session fee unless the slot can be taken by someone else in which case the charge will be waived.
You can cancel a workshop up to 1 week in advance and receive a full refund. If a workshop is cancelled less than 1 week before the day of a workshop a full or partial refund may be considered only if the space is resold. No refunds will be given for cancellations on the day or if you don't turn up to the workshop.
If you are a new student you will be required to complete a New Student Form and pregnant students must complete a Pregnancy Health Form before participating in any classes.
All information collected including your email, telephone number and health records will be kept private and confidential. Your telephone or email address will be used to contact you in the event of class cancellations or changes.
